Senior Assessment Services

David has worked for Cambridge University Press & Assessment for almost ten years, currently in the role of Senior Assessment Services and Recognition Manager for West Europe, Iberia and Italy.

He has delivered numerous presentations around Spain and the rest of Europe. His interests include assessing writing and speaking and the use of technology in ELT in language testing.

Victoria Peña Jaenes

Assessment Services Manager 

Victoria has worked for Cambridge University Press & Assessment since 2018, currently in the role of Assessment Services Manager.

Prior to that, she taught English to preschool, primary and secondary school students for ten years, was part of the examiner team of the English proficiency exams organised by the University of Jaén (Spain), as well as preparing learners for Cambridge examinations.

FAQ - Cambridge goes to school

The Cambridge goes to school series is designed primarily for English teachers in primary and secondary schools, as well as private language schools; but also actively engages students, who are at the center of the topics covered and the activities offered.

Individual learners who are preparing for Cambridge English Qualifications are also welcome to attend.

Absolutely!
Cambridge goes to school was created specifically to actively engage students: the topics covered directly relate to their language learning and Cambridge Qualifications, so their participation is strongly encouraged. Teachers can organise a group viewing at school, transforming the webinar into an educational and motivating experience for the whole class.

You can:

- Book a classroom with a projector or interactive whiteboard

- Invite interested classes

- Prepare a brief introduction to the Cambridge Qualifications

- Collect questions from students to ask during or after the webinar

- Create a final discussion to consolidate what they've learned.

Each teacher must register individually to receive the access link and dedicated materials. However, once you receive the link, you can use it to host the webinar for students.

Students who wish to attend the webinars independently are free to do so: simply register using the same form, selecting the "learner" option in the question "What best describes you?".

Yes. All webinars will be available on-demand after the live broadcast, so you can rewatch them at your leisure or offer them to students at a later time.

Each session lasts on average 45–60 minutes, with a final time dedicated to questions.

Yes, participating teachers will receive an official Cambridge certificate, which can be used for professional training.

Yes, the Cambridge goes to school series is completely free for everyone who wishes to attend: schools, teachers and individual learners.

A computer with a stable internet connection is sufficient. For group viewing, we recommend a projector or interactive whiteboard and speakers.

Absolutely. Each session includes a moderated chat where you can submit questions to the Cambridge speakers.
