This session will look at the importance of ILA in helping students to improve exam results and language acquisition. We will look at how Cambridge coursebooks and Official Exam Preparation materials offer more targeted learning for students, allowing them to maximise their potential in Cambridge exams. The session will explain why Integrated Learning and Assessment is essential for the future of teaching and learning, providing students with the support they need on their learning journeys. Colin Williams, Assessment Group Manager at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, leads a team responsible for the production of all Reading, Writing and Use of English examinations from A2 to C2, and has previously worked extensively on B2, C1 and C2 across all skills

Presenter Presenter: Eva Kaliskami, Head of English Department at I.M.Panagiotopoulos School, Cambridge English Educational Partner

Presenter: Anne Robinson
Through the use of simple, communicative activities, we can help learners to understand and relate to different grammar areas. By encouraging learners to notice, reflect and make connections, grammar should become more accessible and definitely more fun! We’ll be exploring how to achieve these things in this highly practical session.

A chance to mingle and refresh yourselves. and explore the different exhibitor stands in the main corridor and conference rooms.

Presenter: Anne Robinson
Through hands-on projects, focusing on real-life situations and applications, students can connect with topics on a deeper level and develop key skills such as oracy and critical and creative thinking. Well-designed big questions and challenges will draw on different elements from STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). We’ll examine a couple of big questions and big challenges.

Presenter: Poppy Georgakellou, English teacher, Coordinator of the Primary English Department at Arsakeia-Tositsia Schools, Cambridge English Educational Partner

Presenter: Colin Williams
This is a tailored session aimed at addressing Greek students’ needs on Writing papers in Cambridge exams. We take a deep dive into the Writing assessment scales and see how Cambridge Exams are marked. The session will showcase how Greek students are performing on each of the scales from B2 First (for Schools) to C2 Proficiency and will investigate how writing performance can be improved among a young exam cohort.  The session will also bust some common myths about Writing and look at exam techniques and preparation materials that can boost learning outcomes.

Following the presentations, take the opportunity to connect with speakers, Cambridge representatives, and fellow educators. Enjoy drinks and finger food while exchanging ideas, building relationships, and reflecting on the day’s insights.
